The Liberty University Monogram stood alone and proud on the peak of the mountain. The normally bumpy dirt road was covered in snow. The cliffs seemed to tease and whisper “don’t slip.” Ice crushed underneath the wait of the tires of the family car as we drove up the mountain. The narrow road seemed to get smaller as snow mounted up on the sides. If another car were to come in the opposite direction, we would have to drive backwards down the slippery slope to get out of the way. The thought of going backwards sent a shiver down my spine. In the distance I heard trees snapping underneath thee wait of the ice and snow. Finally after a long slow paced ride we made it to the top. I looked in amazement at the details of the monogram. The letters “LU” was created by plants that brought color to the letters. Rocks surrounded the plants as if they were tracing the letters. There my family and I prayed and thanked God for the beauty that surrounded us.
